NH Bacon & Beer Festival

VOLUNTEER APPLICATION — Opens March 15

High Hopes Foundation of NH is hosting the NH Bacon & Beer Festival and we need your help for a variety of tasks to make the event run smoothly! Volunteers get the following perks:

  • FREE General Admission ticket ($60 value) to attend the event for at least 2.5 hours

  • Entry at 12:30pm (same time as VIP attendees)

  • We also have a limited number and sizes of FREE Bacon & Beer Festival T-shirts available – just in case, bring your T’s from past years (or a beer-themed shirt) in case we run out

  • Mid-afternoon tasks marked with *** also receive (1) GA Ticket per volunteer to see a concert artist TBA this summer back in Merrimack NH.

We have updated the tasks and shift lengths from previous years. The Volunteer Application opens March 15 to last year’s volunteers, and new Volunteer Applications will be considered starting April 1. Volunteers will be refunded any previously purchased tickets.

When: Friday, May 31, 2024 (set-up) and Saturday, June 1, 2024 (Festival + tear-down)

Where: Anheuser-Busch Outdoor Fields, 221 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack, NH

Length of Volunteer Shifts: 90 to 120 minutes each; please arrive to the Volunteer Station at least 20 minutes before your shift for instructions

This event is rain or shine! Volunteers choosing to work from 9am - 4:30pm on Saturday must be 21+ and cannot consume any alcohol or be visibly impaired during their shift due to insurance and licensing requirements, but you can drink before/after during event hours. Volunteer tickets to the event will be available when you check-in for your shift. More specific information about where to go and park will be emailed as we get closer to the event in June.

Please complete the following Volunteer Application for parties of up to 6 Volunteers, and we will inform you shortly about your task assignment. We will try to keep parties together for the same tasks or times, so that you can hang out outside your shift. Remember, ALL VOLUNTEER TASKS are important, and will help us meet our financial goals to bring hope to New Hampshire’s chronically and terminally ill children.

Here are the task descriptions — choose your preferred task and time preference below, but understand that we may have to reassign you once they fill up. If you don’t see the task in the application below, we have already filled up those slots.

  • FLOATER — I'll help anywhere on Friday night or Saturday. I’ll also volunteer last-minute to fill any openings that take place, with the understanding that my ticket will be refunded in full.

  • FRIDAY NIGHT SET-UP CREW — Help set up tents, tables, signage, parking area, etc. on Friday night. Pizza will be provided. (8 spots; heavy lifting required)

  • SATURDAY MORNING SET-UP CREW — Help vendors as needed before the gates open with set-up, ice and beer delivery, etc. (10 spots; heavy lifting required)

  • TENT SUPPORT — Help brewers and bacon samplers by running items back and forth as needed, such as ice or trash removal. (6 spots x 3 shifts; minor lifting required)

  • CLEAN-UP CREW — After the event, pick up trash in fields and parking area, take down tables, tents and signage. Help vendors as needed to clean up their areas. Gather untapped beer into central areas so it isn’t taken away illegally. (10 spots; heavy lifting required)

In case a confirmed Volunteer has to drop out in the coming months, we will take a wait list of FLOATERS to place wherever we need on Friday night or Saturday. If you are accepted as a FLOATER and have already purchased a ticket, we will refund it. Thank you so much for your support!!
